The Belišće Cross-Border Cluster application is a network platform to support start-up companies and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the mechanical, paper and energy industries. It is also intended for the general public interested in these sectors. With the help of the application, users can get an insight into economic trends in the mentioned industries, information on markets, marketing and e-commerce. It also serves for communication, networking and knowledge exchange between members of the paper, mechanical and energy cluster.

Through the app, users can get information on news from the mechanical engineering, paper industry and energy sectors, information on available tenders for SMEs funded by the EU and national sources, and available training for SMEs.

Developed within the project “Enabling the development of sustainable cross-border clusters” which enables the creation of a more favorable economic environment for SME development in the border area by establishing two cross-border clusters in mechanical engineering, paper industry and energy (in Belišće) and agriculture (in Sombor). Cooperation and networking of SMEs, research organizations, local self-government units, entrepreneurship support institutions and civil society (NGOs) will increase the potential of SMEs to invest in research and development, job creation and value-added products. The main activities of the project include establishing two clusters (arranging and equipping the space), designing IT solutions for entrepreneurs and start-ups in these sectors, conducting trainings / workshops / seminars / round tables for entrepreneurs and experts and organizing study trips networking and learning about good practices.
