Challenges and our Approach

In order to address the identified common challenges and enforce the growth capabilities and employment and innovation potential of local SMEs, a stronger cross-border industry-government-university-civil society cooperation (“Quadruple Helix”) will be established and formalized through the creation of two joint cross-border clusters – one in the sector of agriculture and applied new technology in agriculture, located in the city of Sombor, and another one in the sector of paper industry and mechanical engineering, located in the town of Belišće. Cross-border Cooperation

Sombor and Belišće are both major industrial centres of their respective counties and are currently confronted with similar constrains that hinder their competitiveness as business-friendly urban areas. Click HERE for more information

Realization of project objectives will underpin EU efforts to achieve overall targets set in the Europe 2020 Strategy, particularly in the area of education, employment and climate change/energy. Click HERE for more information

Potential risks and mitigating risks

Risk 1 (medium impact) – Lack of coordination or miscommunication between project team members that could lead to decreased efficiency in the project implementation. This risk is inherent to any team work, especially when the teams are geographically dispersed. Click HERE for more information

Sustainability, Durability and Transferability of Project Outputs
